Position Title: Mapping / Administrative Assistant
General Description of Responsibilities:
Accomplishes field addressing and GIS location of roads, structures, waterways, and bridges within Washington Parish using calibrated distance measuring equipment and GPS mapping computer systems.
Maintains field addressing records
Accomplishes computerized map updates
Provide hard copy maps and revisions to agencies and individuals
Accomplishes additional office and field related duties as required
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
High School Graduate or GED Required
Typing proficiency speed test will be administered
Skills in public relations
Skills in word processing and spread sheets
Knowledge of general mapping principles
Knowledge of Washington Parish geography
Other Requirements:
Must Pass a Drug and Alcohol Screening
Valid Driver’s License
Must Pass Detailed Background Check Including Criminal History
Physical Exam
